The Lippmann Collection

Two months ago, celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann launched her own signature line of nail lacquer and treatment products, called, appropriately enough, Lippmann Collection. There are 27 great shades, and 6 nail treatments. We chose 6 of the 27 shades that struck our fancy and played. Not only are the colors wonderful, the texture of the nail polish is smooth, the polish is very easy to apply, it dries fast, and the lacquer lasts.

We loved the following colors, from left to right:

My Old Flame – a gorgeous deep blood red. Sort of Joan Crawford ‘40’s style. Very saucy.

Nefertiti – a superb fine golden shade. Just right. Not brassy, but gets you noticed.

Girl Talk – a lovely sheer pink with an opalescent glaze. It makes your toes look like the inside of a beautiful sea shell.

Secret Love – a subtly silvered dusty rose. The shade reminded us of the ashes of roses dress in The Thorn Birds.

Stardust 2000 – a millennium platinum frost that's just ultra ultra.

In the bottle is:

It’s Delovely – Our top favorite! A clean gilded coral red. We are totally coral obsessed these days over here at Fashion Finds.

The Lippmann Collection can be found at Henri Bendel’s, Sephora, Zitomer in Manhattan, and Fred Segal Essentials in Beverly Hills. Call 888-929-9950, or visit the site at: www.lippmanncollection.com

Guess who? Face Stockholm.

Fire and Ice

This is the Face Stockholm Winter 2000 collection. It's described as "soft subtle shades reminiscent of snow and ice accented by bolts of color."

Here are the colors shown in the above image:

Top row: Left, Matte Eye Shadow in Power. Center, Galaxy TIO. Right, Creme Blush-On in Tokyo.

Second row: Left, High Lighter in Dignity. Center, Pot Gloss in Style. Right, Eye Shadow in Liberty.

The nail polish is #36.

The jar at bottom contains Loose Powder in Silver Shine.

Not shown, but part of the Face Stockholm Winter 2000 collection:  Eye Pencil in GRÅ (a charcoal gray), and a matte lipstick called Desert, which is very similar to the Tokyo blush, except that the lipstick is of a deeper hue.

Also from Face Stockholm:

Top, Creme Blush-on in Madrid. Bottom left, Pot Gloss in Confidence. Bottom right, Eye Dust #12.

Face Stockholm: 888-334-FACE

Have a cosmetically festive month!
